What do you do?
I have an extensive background in fashion and design. I joined Modibodi in 2022 and I’ve worked on many amazing projects including working with PUMA to design a range of active period underwear that utilises Modibodi’s world-first patented technology, meaning athletes can focus on their game, not their period.
What about your work makes you proud?
I’m very proud of our patent-pending swimwear technology. Our bathers look like regular swimwear, but they absorb up to 10 tampons of period blood without leaking which is mind-blowing when you think about it.
It’s a completely different technology to our regular period pants and I love that it frees girls and women up to enjoy the water when they’re on their periods.
Why is your work important?
At Modibodi, we envision a world where barriers to women in sport no longer exist. According to Modibodi and PUMA research, three in five girls skip sport on their period due to the fear of leaking in their uniforms. We want to destigmatise the challenges of menstruating whilst playing sport and show athletes a new world in which they can feel confident and supported to play while they bleed.
