What does your work look like?

I run my own private practice physiotherapy clinic in West Ryde, Sydney. We provide hands-on care to help people move better, recover faster and live pain-free. I also look after two NRL teams with the Ryde-Eastwood Hawks.

How did you get to where you are today?

I worked really hard to get good grades at university. I also volunteered for over 200 hours in a physiotherapy clinic when I was doing my first degree to get into the physiotherapy course. Once I was in the physiotherapy course I again did a lot of volunteer hours with teams such as the Melbourne Storm and other local teams to get experience to be the best I could be. I then worked in private practices for other people for a number of years, this included working with as many different sporting codes as I could - AFL, NRL, rugby union, basketball, netball and Oztag to name a few.

What’s interesting about your job?

The variety keeps it very interesting. I don't always know what I will treat or find from one day to the next. I love the sporting area as you always have to think on your feet.

Why is your work important?

Sometimes people's lives are in our hands, thankfully not as often as doctors, but we keep players on the field and sometimes I am the person that rules them out.
