NSW Fair Trading [3]

NSW Fair Trading administers the Associations Incorporation Act 2009 (the Act).

Sport and recreation organisations registered as Associations must comply with any relevant State and Commonwealth legislation that applies to its operations.

Liquor and Gaming NSW is responsible for the regulation of liquor, gambling, and registered clubs in NSW. Sport and recreation organisations seeking to conduct fund raising events such as lotteries or games of chance should contact Liquor and Gaming NSW [11].

NSW Office of the Children’s Guardian [12]

The Office of the Children’s Guardian is an independent government agency that works to protect children by promoting and regulating quality, child safe organisations and services.

NSW Volunteering supports and promotes volunteering across NSW. People who participate in their communities are healthier and happier, have greater trust and wellbeing, and live longer.

NSW sport industry body

Sport NSW [14]

The NSW Sport Federation (now trading as Sport NSW) is the industry body for sport in New South Wales. They are an independent not-for-profit organisation, representing NSW sporting organisations as The Voice of Sport.

Australian Sports Anti-Doping Authority [16]

Information and resources on anti-doping, prohibited substances, supplements, testing. Online training in:

Department of Health - National Integrity of Sport Unit [18]

The National Integrity of Sport Unit provides national oversight, monitoring and coordination of efforts to protect the integrity of sport in Australia from threats of match-fixing, doping and other forms of corruption.

Play by the Rules [23]

Play by the Rules provides information, resources, tools and free online training to increase the capacity and capability of administrators, coaches, officials, players, parents and spectators to assist them in preventing and dealing with discrimination, harassment, child safety, inclusion and integrity issues in sport.

Play by the Rules is a unique collaboration between the Sport Australia, Australian Human Rights Commission, all state and territory departments of sport and recreation, all state and territory anti-discrimination and human rights agencies, the Office of the Children's Guardian (NSW) and the Anti-Discrimination Board of NSW.
