Our flatwater kayaks are perfect for beginners and paddlers of all abilities, offering a relaxed and accessible way to experience kayaking—no special skills required.
Take in the breathtaking views of the Blue Mountains as you paddle, and keep an eye out for some of our unique local birdlife along the way.

Age restrictions
The minimum age for flatwater kayak hire is 8.
An adult must be present at all times on the water for children 17 years or under. The adult must stay within 10 metres of the child at all times.
There must be one adult for every three children on the water at all times.
What to bring
PWS recommends all flatwater paddlers wear the following clothing on the water:
- Swimwear
- Rash vest or t-shirt (long sleeves are strongly recommended)
- Board shorts or leggings (long bottoms are strongly recommended)
- Hat, sunscreen and sunglasses
- Secure footwear
Availability
Flatwater kayak hire is available during the following times:
Weekdays: 10am - 4pm (excluding public holidays).
