Whitewater rafting

Please arrive 30 minutes before the raft experience start time, for example, if your start time is 12:00pm you must check-in at 11:30am.

Do not consume alcohol before rafting. Participants that are suspected of intoxication, will not be permitted to take part in activities.

• Secure footwear such as runners or sports sandals that will stay on in rough water (NO thongs, crocs or barefoot)
• Clothes to raft in e.g. swimmers, long sleeves, long pants
• Wetsuit - bring your own or you can hire one on the day for $15.00 per person (wetsuits are recommended for cooler weather and offers an extra layer of protection in case you fall out of the raft)
• Sunscreen
• Towel
• Dry change of clothes and shoes
• Personal medication (e.g. EpiPens, asthma inhalers, sweets for diabetics, etc). If you need medication bring it with you and always have it accessible. You must inform your guide of any medical conditions. 

• Leave all your valuables behind, including:
  • Jewellery
  • Wedding bands
  • Watches
  • Phones
  • Wallets
  • Keys
  • Glasses (if you need to wear glasses, please secure them in case you fall into the water)
• A locker is provided at the beginning of the rafting trip to lock your valuables away
• Don’t take the risk. If you don’t want to lose it, leave it at home!

Bookings are essential for all activities and can be made online. Penrith Whitewater Stadium accepts credit cards. 

Full payment is required to make a booking. 

If you cancel:

• More than 48 hours prior to your trip, a credit is offered for you to use on a trip at another time.
• Less than 48 hours no payment will be refunded.

Penrith Whitewater Stadium reserves the right to cancel or alter any trip dates and/or trip times. In these cases, you will be informed as soon as possible, and every effort will be made to reschedule your activity at the earliest possible time convenient to you or we will offer a 100% refund if cancellation occurs within 48 hours.

Prior to the activity you will be required to read and sign an Acceptance of Risk Agreement acknowledging that whitewater activities have inherent risks and dangers beyond those normally encountered in everyday life.

• Minimum age for guided rafting: 12 years.
• If you are under 18 years of age, you will require a parent or guardian to sign the Acceptance of Risk Agreement on your behalf.
• Rafting trips are sold exclusively by Penrith Whitewater Stadium and cannot be offered for sale or resale, or resold without prior written consent of Penrith Whitewater Stadium
• Unless otherwise booked, rafts and/or trips may not be exclusive. While every effort is made to keep groups together, this is not always possible.
