2025 ICF Canoe Slalom World Championships unofficial training
Penrith Whitewater Stadium is offering slalom training sessions for all World Championships athletes from 10 – 19 September 2025.
A maximum of one slalom session per athlete / per day is available for booking.
From 01 August, two slalom sessions per athlete / per day will be available for booking.
World Championships Official Training starts from 20 September.

Open slalom training
Minimum Age: 10 years
Duration: 1 hour
Experience: Grade 3 competent
Price: $40.00 per person
Bookings are essential and can be made online. To operate an Open Slalom training session, a minimum of 20 people must be registered for the session to proceed.

Open kayak cross training
Minimum Age: 10 years
Duration: 1 hour
Experience: Grade 3 competent
Price: $40.00 per person
Bookings are essential and can be made online. To operate an Open Kayak Cross training session, a minimum of 20 people must be registered for the session to proceed.
How to prepare for your whitewater paddling experience
All first-time whitewater paddlers at PWS will need to complete a Grade 3 kayaking skills competency assessment to demonstrate their skills to paddle our Grade 3 whitewater course.

- Arrive 30 minutes before your session start time
If you are not a Grade 3 competent whitewater paddler, we recommend our Kayak Instruction programs.

2025 ICF Canoe Slalom World Championships official training
The International Canoe Federation will be running official training sessions for the 2025 ICF Canoe Slalom World Championships from 20 September 2025.
Training sessions before 20 September can be booked via the Slalom Training Schedule below.
