Flood update 13 June - Venue Closed
Due to the recent flooding, and continued rainfall in western Sydney, the Sydney International Regatta Centre remains closed to recreational use whilst damage is assessed, repair works made, and water quality is monitored due to the presence of Blue Green Algae in the lakes.
The Venue will re-open to public recreation once it is safe to do so. In positive news, some controlled, on-land events and activities have begun to resume safely with additional supervision, and we hope to bring further updates in the near future regarding partially re-opening the Venue to the public for recreation.
The full loop of the walking and cycle paths still have major repairs to be complete, so a partial re-open will allow walking / cycling in select areas of the Venue. You will not be able to complete a full loop around the lake until the repairs are complete.
Once we have a confirmed date & information for public recreation to resume, it will be shared on this page.
On water activities are subject to continued water quality testing and the results of that. Unfortunately there is no set date for these to resume at this time as the algae remains present in the lakes.
For more information, please contact the Centre on 4730 0000.
