Sydney International Regatta Centre

A spectacular event venue for either 10 or 30,000 people, the Sydney International Regatta Centre offers superior event facilities and is one of the region’s premier outdoor sport and entertainment venues for both on and off the water.

WHAT'S ON?

Notice: Monday 4th December there are planned maintenance works on Gate A entry. Alternate entry & exit via Gate B (300m before Gate A) may be in place at various times when works are occurring. Follow signage at the gates.

Current venue opening hours on non-event days are:
Gates open 06:30 | Last entry to venue 18:30 | Venue Closed 19:30
Except Monday's where venue closes at 17:00

Please note that the venue is closed to public recreation on:
Saturday 9th December - Balance & UTS Triathlon (until approx 13:00)
Sunday 10th December -  Hills Triathlon Club Triathlon (until approx 14:00)
Sunday 17th - Thursday 21st December -  Rowing Australia Senior Team National Trials
Saturday 23rd December - Panthers Tri Club Triathlon (until approx 13:00)

Walking & Cycle Paths are restricted to entry side only until 15:00 due to Driver Education sessions on:
Tuesday 5th December

We strongly recommend that before you visit, you check the Opening Hours page for the most up to date information indicating when the venue is available for public recreation. Times are subject to short notice updates, particularly during event season.

Opening Hours

The Sydney International Regatta Centre is an event venue that opens to public recreation where possible on non-event days. Gate times and walking / cycle path availability are subject to events and may change at short notice.

The full 5km loop around the competition lake is back open again on non-event days

Office hours: 06:30 to 16:30 (Monday to Friday)
Office will be closed for bookings between  23/12/23 to 08/01/24

No on water activity is permitted without advance booking.
Note: Training bookings require a minimum of 72 hours notice.
E-mail regatta@sport.nsw.gov.au for bookings.
Holiday Training - All on water training bookings for between 21/12/23 & 08/01/24 must be made prior to 5pm on Wednesday 20th December.

Recreation facilities

Enjoy cycling, walking or running around the picturesque lakes. On water activities require advance booking and are subject to other activities and events.

Penrith Lakes Environmental Education Centre (PLEEC) provides quality curriculum related fieldwork programs for students (K-12) and is located on-site. Call 4730 3630 for information.

Australian Rowing Championships

The 2024 Australian Rowing Championships will be held at SIRC between 18 & 24 March, 2024. In an Olympic year, expect the action to be fever pitch!

Dogs must be kept on leash

Dogs are welcome to join you on your walk around the lakes, but please ensure they remain on leash at all times and are cleaned up after. Dogs are not permitted to enter the water at any time.

Drones are not permitted to be flown at the venue without permission from Venue Management. Recreational flying is not permitted at any time.

Lakeside Restaurant

Lakeside Restaurant is located on site behind the main grandstand on the Island and opens for dining on Thursday, Friday & Saturday nights and weekend brunch (pending events). A kiosk also operates on weekends and during events. Call (02) 4729 3222 for booking enquiries or find them on facebook for current opening hours and promotions.
