Sydney International Regatta Centre

A spectacular event venue for either 10 or 30,000 people, the Sydney International Regatta Centre offers superior event facilities and is one of the region’s premier outdoor sport and entertainment venues for both on and off the water.

The venue is closed for public recreation on the following following dates:
Sunday 11 August - Dragon Boats NSW Winter Warmer 10's
Saturday 17 August - Penrith Cycling Club Race (Venue closed from 13:00)
Sunday 18 August - Panthers Triathlon Club - Duathlon (Venue closed until approx 12pm)

- The full 5km loop is currently unavailable due to flood damage with approx. 1km out of play on the entry side. Turnaround points are in place.

- All on water activity requires pre-booking with a minimum of 72 hours notice, and fees apply. Contact regatta@sport.nsw.gov.au or call 02 4730 0000 for booking information.

Opening Hours

The Sydney International Regatta Centre is an event venue that opens to public recreation where possible on non-event days. Gate times and availability for public recreation are subject to events and may change at short notice.

Penrith Lakes Environmental Education Centre (PLEEC) provides quality curriculum related fieldwork programs for students (K-12) and is located on-site. Call 4730 3630 for information.

Ironman 70.3 Western Sydney

Ironman 70.3 Western Sydney returns on Sunday 22 September where qualifying spots for the 2025 World Championships in Spain are on offer. A Sprint Tri will also be on offer this year.

Penrith Lakes parkrun

Penrith Lakes parkrun is a free, fun, friendly weekly 5k community event. Walk, jog, run, volunteer or spectate - it's up to you!

Australian Dragon Boat Championships

The 28th 'Auschamps' for Dragon Boating will be held at SIRC between 26 April and 01 May 2025. More details coming.

Penrith District Nitro Racing run most Tuesday nights in the P3 carpark. If you are looking to get into remote controlled car racing, check out their upcoming events.

Dogs must be kept on leash

Dogs are welcome to join you on your walk around the lakes, but please ensure they remain on leash at all times and are cleaned up after. Dogs are not permitted to enter the water at any time.

Drones are not permitted to be flown at the venue without permission from Venue Management. Recreational flying is not permitted at any time.

Lakeside Restaurant

Lakeside Restaurant is located on site behind the main grandstand on the Island and opens for dining on Thursday, Friday & Saturday nights and weekend brunch (pending events).
