Sydney International Regatta Centre

A spectacular event venue for either 10 or 30,000 people, the Sydney International Regatta Centre offers superior event facilities and is one of the region’s premier outdoor sport and entertainment venues for both on and off the water.

The venue is closed to public recreation during the below events:

Friday 17th May - St Mary's Zone Cross Country
Tuesday 21st May - Macquarie Zone Cross Country

Due to damage sustained in the recent heavy rainfall, the full 5km loop is currently unavailable with turn around points in place on the Southern (entry side) paths where approx 900m of path from the top of the lake down is unavailable.

We strongly recommend that before you visit, you check the Opening Hours page for the most up to date information indicating when the venue is available for public recreation. Times are subject to short notice updates, particularly during event season. No access is permitted to the water without pre-booking.

The Sydney International Regatta Centre is an event venue that opens to public recreation where possible on non-event days. Gate times and availability for public recreation are subject to events and may change at short notice.

Note: On water training bookings require a minimum of 72 hours notice.

Penrith Lakes Environmental Education Centre

Penrith Lakes Environmental Education Centre (PLEEC) provides quality curriculum related fieldwork programs for students (K-12) and is located on-site. Call 4730 3630 for information.

2024 Redline Games

Redline Games is all about building a vibrant interactive festival atmosphere around fitness and visual entertainment. See the variety of sports that will take place across 4 - 7 April 2024.

Australian Rowing Championships

The 2024 Australian Rowing Championships will be held at SIRC between 18 & 24 March, 2024. In an Olympic year, expect the action to be fever pitch! Tickets on sale now.

Dogs must be kept on leash

Dogs are welcome to join you on your walk around the lakes, but please ensure they remain on leash at all times and are cleaned up after. Dogs are not permitted to enter the water at any time.

Lakeside Restaurant

Lakeside Restaurant is located on site behind the main grandstand on the Island and opens for dining on Thursday, Friday & Saturday nights and weekend brunch (pending events).
