The Sydney Cup
Sydney International Shooting Centre is proud to hold the Sydney Cup - Pistol & Rifle, as part of the Shooting Australia Endorsed Event Series.
The Shooting Australia Endorsed Event Series is a program of competition events run by our member bodies and their associated Clubs, endorsed by Shooting Australia. Participation in the Shooting Australia Endorsed Event Series indicates that an event meets Shooting Australia’s standards regarding format, officiating and recognition of outcomes.
All the events that form part of the Endorsed Event Series will provide a platform to encourage greater competitive participation throughout the ISSF disciplines.

Date: 20th - 23rd February 2026
Cost: $35 per match
Conditions
- Competitors must hold a current Target Firearms Licence
- Only current financial members of a Shooting Australia Member Organisations are able to compete in any of the Shooting Australia Endorsed Events
- All Athletes will be expected to adhere to the ISSF competition rules.

WSPS
- WSPS Athletes must provide Classification Class and subclass at time of entry.
- Match conducted under ISSF Rule except where WSPS rules are implemented to allow fair and equal competition.
- Equipment must comply with WSPS Rule 3.
- WSPS rule 2.16.1: to allow coach to the line will be implemented
- Where applicable the WSPS Athlete will compete head to head with ISSF Athletes. WSPS Athletes will be eligible for all Integrated finals where published.
- Protest will be conducted under ISSF rules. Where evidence of WSPS rules are challenged, WSPS rules will be implemented.
- Squadding of WSPS Athletes will be grouped to allow WSPS Rule 2.16.1 to be implemented and comply with ISSF rules 6.12.4 , 6.12.5
- WSPS Equipment control will be conducted prior to the start of competition. Report time and schedule will be published once Entries are closed. Note: This may be subject to change based on entry numbers and CRO review.
- All VI matches to be conducted in accordance with the WSPS Rules
Finals
- All Final matches will be the 2024 Paris Olympic format
- 10m Air Rifle – Separate Men and Women Finals incorporating the top 8 ranked athletes including R1 & R2 respectively
- 10m Air Pistol – Separate Men and Women Finals incorporating the top 8 ranked athletes including P1 & P2 respectively
- 25m Pistol – Combined Final incorporating the top 8 from 25m Pistol qualification of women and Junior Men & P3
- Only men can qualify for the 25m Rapid Fire Pistol Final
- There will be no Finals for any of the VI matches
- There will be no Finals for any Match 2 event
