About the project
The Carss Park Pool Project will deliver a modern, outdoor, eight lane, 50 metre swimming pool with a swim wall, a 20 x 10 metre Learn to Swim pool and ancillary facilities that provide a safe, fit for purpose swimming facility for the local community.
The 50 metre pool will be designed within Swimming Australia’s ‘Local Level’ facility requirements.
Funding for the project is provided by the NSW Government , Georges River Council and the Commonwealth Government.
Scope
The project scope includes:
- 50 metre x 8 lane (20m wide), heated outdoor swimming pool, with swim wall to allow the pool to be divided into two 25 metre pools.
- 20 metre x 10 metre, shaded and heated outdoor Learn to Swim pool, with accessible ramped entry and swimming ledge.
- Toilets, change rooms with lockers, family spaces and a shop/kiosk.

July 2026:
- Construction contractor appointed.

- Piling and inground works will commence September 2026.
Late 2027
- Construction completion.
Late 2027:
- Operational testing and readiness activities
- Pools open for public use.
