Gold Award ceremonies are by invite only. Award Holders who have nominated to be added to the invitation list  will receive an invitation via email as upcoming ceremonies are confirmed.

Arrival Times

  • Gold Award Holders: MUST arrive at least 1 hour prior to the ceremony start time.
  • Award Leaders: MUST arrive at least 30-minutes prior to the ceremony start time. 
  • Guests: Doors open 1 hour prior to the ceremony, guests must be seated 15-minutes prior to the ceremony start time.

Dress Code

Guests are reminded that Her Excellency is the King’s representative, and as such, are requested to dress appropriately for this Vice-Regal occasion.

Acceptable: Suit and tie, day dress, skirt and jacket, pants suit or uniformed group apparel.

Not Acceptable: Jeans, shorts, denim, ripped/torn clothing and sneakers.

Protocol

Her Excellency the Honourable Margaret Beazley AO, Governor of New South Wales.

When first presented to the Governor it is customary to address her as “Your Excellency” and, from then on as “Ma’am” or “Governor”. The Governor’s husband is addressed as “Mr Wilson” or “Sir” at all times. 

Gold Award Holder Reflection

As part of the ceremony registration, Award Holders are asked to provide a short reflection to share their Gold Award highlights and achievements. These will be shared with guest speakers to provide an insight into their Award experience. View reflection requirements and ideas. (PDF, 175.7 KB)

Photography

A professional photographer will photograph each Award Holder as they receive their certificate. These photographs will be made available free of charge within 14 days of the event. Personal photographs are permitted during the ceremony.

Non-attendance

If you are no longer able to attend the ceremony, please refer to your booking confirmation email for the cancellation link.
