NSW Football Legacy Program

The NSW Football Legacy Program will see a $10 million investment from the NSW Government to support football at all levels as a legacy of NSW hosting matches in the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023TM

On 21 April 2022, the NSW Government announced an investment of $10 million for the NSW Football Legacy Program

The NSW Football Legacy Program will support football at all levels through the construction of new community facilities, participation initiatives, high performance, leadership and development programs as well as tourism and international engagement. 

Up to $6.21 million will be available to eligible clubs, associations and other organisations through the NSW Football Legacy Fund – a grant program which will facilitate development and participation opportunities.

Other initiatives under the Legacy Program include the enhancement of female player pathways, leadership development opportunities for women and girls, the roll out of the Daughters and Dads Active and Empowered program to the football community, indigenous programs, promotion of football and support to ensure FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023TM base camps and training sites in NSW meet FIFA requirements. 

The NSW Football Legacy Program will be delivered in collaboration with Football Australia, Football NSW, Northern NSW Football and the Office of Sport from 2022 to 2024.
