Sport Sector Engagement Workshop

Stakeholder Engagement Header

To support the delivery of our Strategic Plan 2020-2024, the Office of Sport is currently developing its Stakeholder Engagement Strategy, due to launch early next year.

I would like to invite your organisation to attend our Sport Sector Stakeholder Engagement Consultation Workshop, to be held in conjunction with the 4th annual SPRINTER Symposium on Wednesday, 16 June 2021.

What is the purpose of the workshop?
The Office of Sport has a broad range of stakeholders across the sport and active recreation sector. This workshop will be the first opportunity to receive formal feedback from stakeholders from the sport sector, taking feedback from staff working across a range of roles.

We are offering the opportunity for each invited organisation to have up to 3 delegates attend – one from each of the following categories:

  • One x CEO / Board Member
  • One x Senior executive with a focus on participation and/or community engagement
  • One x regionally based staff member or advisory committee member (i.e. based outside of Greater Sydney), whose role focuses on program delivery and/or support of local clubs, associations and programs.

Some of the categories may not apply to your organisation, in which case please extend the invite to other representative/s from your organisation who might be best suited to the categories above or less representatives can attend the session. Please note, that due to capacity limits, there is a maximum of three people per organisation.

Delegate Registration
I would ask that you register your delegate via the link below. RSVPs are due Thursday 10 June 2021.

What is the SPRINTER Symposium?
The 4th annual SPRINTER Symposium will showcase the latest research findings and case studies from the Office of Sport and sector-wide research programs.

The symposium will celebrate the impact of SPRINTER’s contribution to research, policy, and practice through recognising our partnerships with the Office of Sport, Sport Australia and the community Sport and Physical Activity sectors at state and national levels.

The symposium is open to any of your staff, in addition to your workshop delegates. I encourage you to stay for the symposium or send a representative to hear about the research SPRINTER has undertaken with the sector over the past 12 months.

I look forward to the attendance of your organisation at the workshop and SPRINTER Symposium.

Kind regards,

Karen Jones
