Active Pools Youth Program

The Summer Active Pools Youth Program provides young people an opportunity to participate in a range of land and water-based activities in 16 locations across the Western Region of NSW. 

Limited places are available at each swimming pool for 12-16 year-olds to access a 10-week pool pass (at a minimum), as well as 8 weeks of hour long supervised, structured activities twice a week. 

Each child that participates in the program will receive:

  • Free access to your community pool for a minimum of 10 weeks
  • Access to 16 structured activities (2 sessions per week over 8 weeks)

Activities may vary slightly between venues and be both land and water-based.

Registration in the program requires attendance for the duration of the 8 week sessions. 

When: Summer 2010/2022 – from December to March. Session details and times will vary between locations.

Where: 16 locations across the Western Region. Details to be announced in the coming weeks.

Who: 12 – 16 year olds who reside in the Local Government Area of the program venue. A basic level of water competency is required.

Why: An engaging and fun program to keep teenagers active and connected with friends over the Summer holidays. The Active Pools Youth program is designed to keep youth in the western region happy and healthy through fun, engaging and social activities at their local pools.
