Far West Active Fest

About the Far West Active Fest:

Office of Sport, in conjunction with Creative Community Concepts, Kit Bag For Kids and MALO Republic, has created an event to deliver free activities, sports gear, and mental health programs in a number of rural and remote locations across the Far West of NSW in March 2021.

The children will have a variety of activities to participate in on the day, and all kids in attendance will receive free training gear (top and shorts/tights) courtesy of MALO Republic through the Kit Bag For Kids program.

On top of this, the Black Dog Institute, will be running some Act, Belong, Commit mental health programs following the events at local Rugby League clubs.

Far West Active Fest event includes:

  • Children will be able to participate in a variety of activities including a MALO colour run*, mini triathlon and mini obstacle course
  • All kids who attend will receive free training gear and will also have the chance to win even more gear on the day
  • Mental health workshops for adults and children with former NRL player, Nathan Blacklock under the theme Act, Belong, Commit.
