Recovery Working Group established

On Wednesday, 1 April during the weekly teleconference with sport sector CEOs, Acting Minister for Sport Geoff Lee announced the establishment of a Sport and Recreation Sector Recovery Working Group.

On Wednesday, 1 April during the weekly teleconference with sport sector CEOs, Acting Minister for Sport Geoff Lee announced the establishment of a Sport and Recreation Sector Recovery Working Group.

The Sport and Recreation Sector Recovery Working Group, which will be coordinated by the Office of Sport and Sport NSW, will bring together representatives from government and the sector to work collaboratively on issues and develop solutions for the sector both during and after the COVID-19 pandemic.

The group will include representatives from a cross section of State Sporting Organisations (SSOs) and State Sporting Organisations for people with disabilities (SSODs) as well as peak bodies across the sector. 

We’ll continue to provide updates on its progress and outcomes.
