The Children’s Guardian has extended all Working With Children Check (WWCC) clearances for a further six months.
Clearances that were due to expire from 26 March 2020 - 26 September 2020 have been extended with the six-month period applying from the date of a person’s current expiry date.
WWCC holders do not need to do anything when a clearance expires as the system will be automatically updated.
Employers are advised to update their records to indicate the change in their employee’s expiry date.
