Sector Recovery Plan to be developed

On Wednesday 8 April during the Sector CEO Teleconference, Acting Minister for Sport announced that the Sport and Active Recreation Sector Recovery Working Group would develop a Draft COVID-19 Recovery Plan outlining priorities, resourcing and recovery actions for the State’s sport and active recreation sector.

The Office of Sport has launched a new content portal to help the NSW community stay physically active during the COVID-19 pandemic. Featuring a variety of camp activities, the portal has loads of great ideas for parents, government agencies and sporting organisations to keep kids active.

The Office of Sport understands that COVID-19 is having a direct impact on the operations of many sport and recreation organisations. On Wednesday, 1 April during the weekly teleconference with sport sector CEOs, Acting Minister for Sport Geoff Lee announced the establishment of a Sport and Recreation Sector Recovery Working Group.
